Summer Discovery Internship Program - Undergrads
June 2 - August 22, 2008
The Summer Discovery Internship Program is a terrific opportunity for responsible and mature college students to gain teaching experience in the science of health and the human body. These paid summer-long internship opportunities with The Health Museum’s summer camp program are ideal for college students who are interested in science and enjoy working with and mentoring youths or students. Interns will have the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant with dynamic science educators in camps relating to medicine, forensic science, neuroscience and more! In addition to visiting medical facilities and gaining exposure to careers in the health professions, interns will have the opportunity to teach using inquiry-based science activities. For students completing this internship for class credit, there will be opportunities to utilize Museum resources to complete additional requirements. These camps will take place at The Health Museum and there will be one and two week internship opportunities during the month of June in The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, and Clear Lake.
